やわらかなクッションケースが特徴のIWCウォッチ。ミドルケースはヘアライン仕上げ、ベゼルとケースバックは鏡面仕上げを施され、押し出し感がテレビスクリーンを思わせる独特なデザインをしています。ダイヤルは深みのあるブラックミラーで、視認性を重視したホワイトプリントが際立ちます。インデックスレスのシンプルな構成により、ブラックミラーの美しさが引き立つ意匠です。ムーブメントには、手巻きのCal.423を搭載。これは自動巻きのCal.85系統から自動巻き機構を外して改良されたCal.400系統の一つで、2針専用に設計されたモデルです。

こちらはNEW OLD STOCK（未使用品）となります。当時の製品のクオリティを知る貴重な資料ともいえる状態で、ケースのエッジ、クラックのないミントコンディションのブラックミラーダイヤル、そして未使用の革ベルトなど、いずれも感嘆に値する保存状態です。ケースバックには当時のシールがそのまま残されており、針やダイヤルプリントにも経年変化は一切見られません。

ヴィンテージウォッチの中でも、このような極めて良好な状態の個体は、価値を維持するため整備を施さずに保存されることがあります。本品も分解掃除を行わず、次のオーナー様の判断に委ねる形でお渡ししております。現状のまま販売しておりますが、以下の作動テストを実施済みです。これらの数値は参考値としてご覧ください。

アメリカマサチューセッツ州ボストン出身の時計師、フロレンタイン・アリオスト・ジョーンズが1868年に創立したのが始まり。特徴的なデザインで今なお世界中で人気を誇る「パイロット・ウォッチ」コレクションなど、多くの人気シリーズを発売。磁気から時計を守る為の軟鉄製インナーケースや、IWC独自の"ぺラトン式"と呼ばれる両回転式自動巻機構はあまりに有名。

COMMENT

This IWC watch features a softly contoured cushion case. The middle case is finished with a hairline texture, while the bezel and case back are polished to a mirror finish, giving it a distinctive design reminiscent of a TV screen. The dial is a deep black mirror, accentuated by high-contrast white print for enhanced legibility. The index-less layout highlights the elegance of the black mirror finish. The watch is powered by the hand-wound Cal.423 movement, part of the Cal.400 series derived from the automatic Cal.85 series, with the automatic mechanism removed and refined for this two-hand design.

This piece is in NEW OLD STOCK (NOS) condition, making it a rare artifact for appreciating the craftsmanship of its era. The case edges remain sharp, the black mirror dial is in pristine condition without cracks, and the leather strap is unused. The case back still bears its original sticker, and neither the hands nor the dial printing show any signs of aging.

For collectors of vintage watches, such well-preserved examples are often left unserviced to maintain their original value. This piece is sold as-is, leaving servicing decisions to its future owner.
