+Instantly recognizable and designed with obsessive detail, MING watches are genuinely unlike anything else out there.
For the Malaysian-based Indie, it all started in 2017 with the 17.01. Minimally designed, the 17.01 leaned heavily on its unique aesthetics consisting of a compact case featuring 'flared' lugs, a three-part sapphire dial, and a distinguishable luminous time display by way of a futuristic hour track and 'skeletonized' handset.
The 17 series would go on to serve as the design foundation for future releases, pushing the boundaries of sapphire dial making and at the same time, tapping some of the industry's finest for sought-after collaborative pieces. Ultimately, the 17 series took its final bow in 2021 with the release of the 17.09 — an instant-classic sporting two dial color variations, an updated case and dial design, as well as a travel-friendly movement.
This piece features a two-part dial construction adorned in burgundy red. The dial features a mesmerizing guilloche center contrasted by a smooth brushed dial edge. The signature luminous hour track is now located on the underside of the crystal while the skeletonized handset remains true — both emit a wildly vibrant indigo blue that's only amplified thanks to its sapphire construction
Housed in a 38mm stainless steel case, this piece features a subtle lug redesign accentuating the brushed finish along its case flanks and lug edge. Complemented by a signed, knurled crown, this piece features a 100 meters of water resistance. a Dressy Sport Watch contender? We think so!
Powered by a Schwarz-Etienne modified Sellita SW-300, this piece features a stealthy jump hour function making traveling across time zones a cinch!
A dress watch, travel watch, heck, an everyday watch from a relatively young but reputable Indie? What more could you ask for?!
