Defying the depths with chess…

2022 has seen Zenith focus on a refresh of its Defy line with futuristic and vintage-inspired new models so far this year. Reference 3646 is a diver Defy with the classic octagonal case with scalloped edges and a funky ‘70s chess board-esque rotating bakelite bezel. The cream dial is full-on diver with bold, visible lume-filled applied hour markers and a date at 4:30 where the winding crown is also positioned on the case side. The hands have tritium Lume and the minute hand has a large arrow.

The watch is fitted with a double signed Zenith and Gay Freres bracelet, with a clasp stamped ‘3 69’ and ref ZC endlinks.
